this is beautiful. im new to this site, and i havent been into graphic arts in... well since college, about 7 years. what program do you use? and what do you mean by brushes? any help would be appreciated!

When I have it, I use photoshop with various plugins and filters... I've been seeing some pretty good free programs out there, though for folks who can't afford PS3...
Brushes are just as you'd expect. Different textures, tips... used for painting, only it's done in program instead of o canvas... There are some more like stamps, as well. Done from photos, sketches...
I'll try n find some good tutorials for you.

if you search for freeware, be careful that it really is. some programs still carry malware and other crap.
