I actually started another in the same vein, that I like better so I let this one go.

hmmm how did you make it? because it looks like a whole bunch of paintings one on another

I used one image, the gramophone. Then I made lots of shapes, and textured them with a canvas texture. Added a few textures and some brush work and voila!
