Description
Colored version of: [link] bySome details about the process (if you're interested):
There are at least a couple of great inks for this lineart ([link] and [link] ), but i didn't use any of them...why?
a) I'm so used to work over the original pencils that i don't need inks (keep in mind that during my first steps as colorist i was watching Nei Ruffino painting Zenoscope's covers, and they don't use inkers)
b) When i paint i usually remove the lines, so if i work over an inked version i would be removing the most part of the inkers work and i don't think that's fair for him/her.
Lately i'm changing my workflow, till now i added the highlights and shadows using a Luminosity layer on top of the flats. Now i'm just painting on a normal layer picking the colors myself (i only use the flasts as reference and as a quick selection method) . I think using luminosity layer is a faster way to get volumes, but you don't have total control over the tones.
As always, any comment, fave or +watch will be reaaaally appreciated.
