SOOOOO people have asked for a chibi tutorial so i have never done one but here it is. and this is how i do ALLLL of my chibis.hope this helps

yea photoshop is just a program i use but you can use the similar technique in other programs i think.

this is very cute ^_^ but i'm wondering, how do you put that white outline around your character?

oh that's easy ^_^ when you're done with the image. flatten it (do this at the VERY END) and right click on the layers and go to properties. you'll see a section for "stroke" just pick white and how thick you want it.

adobe photoshop is a great place to start. if you're a college student you can get it at your school store for a SUPER discount, the entire suite is only like 300$...

Wait... I understood the tutorial but the one thing I can't wrap my mind around is the part about the babies. I can sort of understand the big head short limbs but if it's based off a big head to small body ratio it's kind of a little disturbing, probably just me though.

it is distrbing but it's true. i actually read that somewhere the reason why little baby things are so cute. it's because they're unporportional!
