The Swordfish Mk.2-class light corvette is a light and versatile combat ship capable of fulfilling various roles such as light attack, escort, patrol, and anti-piracy missions.

The ship is a drastically overhauled and modernized version of the original design and based heavily on the Whiptail-class light escort corvette. It is heavier armored, faster, much more maneuverable and features very light energy shielding. The armament consists of fewer but more modern and powerful weapons. The only significant issue is that the power systems of the vessel operate at maximum stress during combat.

The Swordfish Mk.2-class is what the original Swordfish-class was supposed to be. It operates mostly as a light skirmisher and anti-piracy patrol ship, often deployed in groups.
