Description
Finally something I'm halfwas satisfied with. Didn't want to do a bg so I thought I might as well try to make it into a gif. It's my Arcanine self, erm, floating in midair... *grins* Sorry for the pixellated outlines, I'm still figuring out how to do them properly but without any white pixels sticking out.EDIT: Reuploaded because DA ate the original file for no apparent reason. Had to change file format and category.

Die weissen fragmente kommen nur von " halbtransparenten" Pixeln, dass ist Photoshop mit seinem (manchmal) beknackten antialiasing. Um das zu verhindern versuch mal folgendes:
-> Markier die Transparente FlΓ€che ausserhalb des Objekts, du wirst sehen dass er nicht bis zum Objekt markiert sondern so fitzel aussen rum frei lΓ€sst. Das sind die ekligen Antialiasingpixel die man spΓ€ter weiss sieht.
-> Invertier die Auswahl
-> Mach ne neue Ebene unter dem Objekt, fΓ€ rb sie schwarz (oder wie die Outlines nachher gefΓ€rbt sein sollen) ein.
=> Voila: Zwar etwas dickere Outlines als vorher, aber dafΓΌr sind alle " zwischenpixel" verschwunden.

Pf... this asks for a little self-bashing. I'm not very talented /me thinks. I know nothing about image composition, backgrounds, lighting, dynamic etc etc. Most things I draw are easy-to-draw characters floating meaninglessly in midair or standing in front of a simplistic standard background. I hardly ever use perspective, my choice of color signifies nothing etc etc etc. The rest has nothing to do with talent but with practice. Anyone can learn animal anatomy or how to draw fur like that, the bit of shadow I use is also not too hard to comprehend. It's all about time.

dont make me hurt you..... Seriously... I try so hard with my art.. and have been trying for almost 18 years now.. i HAVE improved, but im not as talented as you are.. Your bashing of your talent, is inadvertently bashing my own art... which im pretty good at doing that myself...heh... Anyway... as for backgrounds/lighting/ and such... just look through my gallery and you will see that i HATE them... i usually have some free floating character in the pretty blueness that is my background, with some random ball of light shining out of nowhere to light my character, so i could have a reason to shade it.... *nods*... and when i do attempt a BG... its usually fuzzy, and people stare at it like.. WTF is that!? and most of the time, EVEN WITH THE BG my characters are STILL free floating in front of it... They just dont seem to fit with the BG..*grumbles* so DONT COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT!!! Furthermore.... Your choice of colors is important..... It shows you at least know what colors look good together, and where..... That is an important quality for an artist... you dont want colors that clash so horribly, it burns the eyes out of your viewers... and you are good at choosing pleasing colors... I Really enjoy looking at your art, and my eyes have YET to burn... you say Anyone can learn animal anatomy.. and thats true.. but not everyone can apply it as well as you have... I know how a dog should look.. or a cat... or a fish... and i can draw them, where their anatomy is right.. but my pictures look like it is just some animal from an anatomy book... You have the talent to put LIFE into the picture... I cant get over your amazing poses, and beautiful expression.... Its one thing to be able to draw an animal correctly, a whole nother thing when you can take that picture, and give it a personality, and a life of its own... So when you go off saying you dont have talent.. just think of all the other artists who are still struggling just to reach the point you have obtained... Practice has gotten you there, and you are lucky to have had the drive to keep practicing... but not only that, you have had the talent to put to use all the things you have learned while practicing, to make such beautiful art, as you have posted here.... Ph.... NO TALENT MY ASS.....

photoshop and stuff is your frined...(not, they're a pain in the ath) but..this is really good, the pose isn't imposible, the fur goes the right way, the muscle tones are all correct. i love the way you did the outline, it's pretty cool how it sticks out like that
