Description
Alright so when I was planning this, I took the pessimistic view that collectively the different nations weren't able to stop climate change and regulate pollution levels. As such ocean levels rose dramatically and changed a great many countries. Plus the air is clogged with a ton of pollution, so hanging out near sea level was really not a fun time. And Sealand, who LIVES at sea level, was not enjoying this, so he invented flying cities. This allowed him to make as much land as he wished and thus grow to a huge country.
And that's what kind of world the future this.
AND NOW I'M GOING TO GO BUY EARS FOR MY DISGAAAYA COSPLAY~ <3 <3

I love Matt's t-shirt ^^
mmm, your explanation is really interesting, I'm really eager to know more... btw, is Cuba an flying country too? considering that he's an island...at the sea level...
...Cuba has taken all the issue really well... I want him to tell Mattie more about the current state of 'Canada'. And I'm looking forward to the reunion between the two North America brothers, I want to see Al's reaction >8D
(I'm sorry if I'm a little nitpicker, I love knowing all the details when I'm reading a good story ^^)
(btw, the little curl-arrow is hilarious XD)

Not entirely, but Cuba does have a great many flying cities. Cuba's advantage is that he has a large amount of fertile soil and really nice new agriculture methods that have allowed him to raise a huge amount of profit and become quite powerful.
As for the current state of Canada, it's part of America now, so if you know the current state of Alfred, then you know what's going on with it.
And the United States is the next stop on Canada's little adventure. :>

wait, when you say fertile soil, you mean the island, right? not the flying cities...but, if the air is so polluted, how can they grow things? The natural light wouldn't pass and acid rains would damage the croops...arggh, SEE? I'm such a nitpicker, stop me now!...actually, that's a good idea, I'm gonna shut up and enjoy your comic XD.
