Class I - Mk IV Viceroy class Light Cruiser

General Information

The Viceroy class was the perfect light combat and exploration ship, the Viceroy has the full weapons and exploration capabilities of the heavy cruiser class ships along with its attendant power systems. The Viceroys only real short coming was lesser mission endurance. However, not all missions are for 5 years.

Equipped with dilithium‑focused matter/anti‑matter warp drives (the venerable PB‑30 engine), they could easily outpace most ships of their time. Equipped with the then‑new MK IV/01 phase laser suites and Mk-III photon torpedoes her combat abilities were to prove more than decisive.

Beyond combat, however, the Viceroy class was sent out to explore Federation space. With profound improvements in science and sensor capabilities, ships of the class would expand the knowledge of the Federation and our galaxy.
