Glad to see Attrius up and running. Guess I need to get to work so they will let me back in.
I like it esp the seemlessness between the terrain and the space art.
Gotta agree w/ JaseFX though.

Even ice planets can have erupting volcanoes though I do think some smoke/ash around the volcano eruption would make it seem to belong more, at the moment it dosn't look very convincing
the rest is pretty cool though, especially how the rings look like their made of translucent glass-like particles

Hmm, somehow I think an ice planet would be less likely to have an active core.
I thought I'd have to do some research, but as I was typing I remembered I probably think this because of what I've heard about Europa's structure. You can read about it on Wikipedia.

It could be a bigger Earthlike world still active on the inside, but very cold on the soutside...even Antartica gets volcanic eruptions sometimes, it would be like that all over, though the lava and smoke that comes out is black since it would instantly cool the second it hits the icy polar air
Europa is essentially an infinite ice-shell floating on an endless ocean, so it has a different build to that of bigger planets like Earth

You know what I think this needs? Some glow. I mean around the lava, reflecting on the mountains.

Wow! What did you use to create this? I've been trying to figure out how to do stuff like this with photoshop, but it's really hard lol

the landscape was created using terragen, and the rest was photoshop

I like it, but I think the fire/lava looks very out of place and just pasted in on top of the scene if you know what I mean.

I kinda agree, looks more in place if you download for full view though - the lack of details make it stand out more than it otherwise would.

Yeah true, if you ever get around to updating it though i'm pretty confident it would look a lot better without it. Nice work nevertheless though.
