Description Extreme solar bursts threaten life in this corner of the solar system

Grew tired working on this, started out, as so many times before, as a practice piece - but got stuck on several elements over the course of time... Not too sure about the final result.

Baseplanet: *freelancah
Satelite mesh: NASA (textured and rendered in VUE).

Do you mind telling me what program you use to draw these amazing amazing pieces of art.

Sure

Apopysis and Photoshop for the background and the sun.
Terrragen for the close up planet (not made by me)
Photoshop for the moon
Vue for the satelite (prerendered in some 3d program, probably 3smax, by NASA).
Photoshop for final touchups.

Thanks!

Would unfortunatly be a very messy tutorial. 3 programs used (Apophysis, Vue and obviously Photoshop) by me, and *Smattila made the planet in yet another program; terragen. And my creation process is extremely chaotic and messy, doubt anyone would learn much from following it, heh

Actually this is a highly probable event. The older a star is, the hotter it gets. And eventually the Sun will go super nova and obliterate the first few planets (including the Earth).

Woah! Awesome I think there is something wrong with the sun though. I see three colors - white, light blue and dark blue (sunspots?). The dark blue colors make the sun lose its warmth and look unrealistic. I think there are two ways you can improve it - either Desaturate the sunspots or completely erase them. Great work overall. *_*

Just check some of other suns that are made by professional artists and U'll get my point!

I can also go watch paintings by Leonardo da Vinci to learn how to paint. How in hell does a comment like that help me? You're just an ass qaz, a small ignorant little man-child.

QAuZ In reply to tadp0l3 [2011-12-02 10:14:48 +0000 UTC]

You're so paranoid and the artist you mentioned, did he ever painted a sun and you made yours like his? And again you're so paranoid

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tadp0l3 In reply to QAuZ [2011-12-02 10:28:39 +0000 UTC]

I'm not paranoid, but your comments are always borderline rude and stuck up. You behave like an egocentric little brat. I'm not sure you know the meaning of the word paranoid to be sure. What I am sure of though, is that you can refrain from your type of comments on my deviations. Constructive criticism, fine - your kind of ego inflated, poorly disguised bashing - no thank you.

QAuZ In reply to tadp0l3 [2011-12-02 11:08:42 +0000 UTC]

Anyway, honestly I didn't want to make probs or anything I just cared enough to post a little critique ... I even did fav some of your other pics and added some of them in worth-dds group!
You just were not smart to know that and rush and also ignorant!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

tadp0l3 In reply to QAuZ [2011-12-04 17:56:17 +0000 UTC]

Smart enough to what? Take insults from you to get a few favs from you? I really don't care about favs, or even getting DDs. I create my small pieces of art as a relaxing hobby and I use deviantart because it's full of wonderful and nice people - sadly, you're not one of them though qaz. I couldn't care less about your favs or groups.

And ignorant? Really? From you? You posted a journal saying the japanese deserved the tsunami for christ sake - and you're calling me ignorant?

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

tadp0l3 In reply to tadp0l3 [2011-12-05 00:11:09 +0000 UTC]

Jesus qaz, get your head out of your nether regions. Would I involve myself in this sort of immature discussions to indulge some perverse search for deviation comments? I think not.

I know you like being insulting, but instead of acknowledging that fact, you try to get the last remark and blocking me - preventing me from actually responding to your silly accusations - in the same way you do as soon as someone is the slightest bit critical about your own work. How many times have you blocked and unblocked me by now? 10? And not once before this time have I been rude to you - while you've said on a number of occasions that my work is bad, and that I didn't deserve this or that DD - without being the slightest bit constructive in your critique. This time I just couldn't stand your lousy attitude. I should have played it like you and blocked you a long time ago, and save me this demeaning argument...

QAuZ In reply to tadp0l3 [2011-12-04 21:19:10 +0000 UTC]

Hehehe I just knew why you're trying to make this long because U want your deviation to get more comments! SO SAD
Trying to make me doing more talking for the ballshits your throwing, huh?

I've removed some of them but I can make one for the next work though. And no offence, but some of the beginners achived it better than you even
