Description Pencils by Jim Cheung

Inks by

Very unfinished colors by for color battle.

I hate to say it but this one kicked me to the curbside. It's maybe 50% done but times up and I'll not have free time to
work on this for several more days. The detailed and large cast of characters did me in, just trying to roughly flat it took up most of my time. EST hrs worked_ 9hrs

General note; a great set of flats were made available by , I didn't use them but they were a great reference to what the colors were for some of the less well known characters.

Amazing image and awesome colours. LOVE the blue shadows on spiderwoman.

ah dude, ran out of time If I may through this out at you, you weren't on a bad track with this. Going forward, all the background characters, set them up on flats and concetrate on spider woman herself.

That blue shadowing down her side seems to me like you had a great idea going, but the background characters fail you - only because and this is a personal opinion, their tones are all over the show.

Take spiderman: when you're flatting, don't use a fire-engine red, rather use a lower, more desaturated red - like the red you used for mistress webb (the red character, between the chick with green hair and the skull) use that kind of red and the same principle with the blue.

Characters like spidey are easy, because if the inker is a bad-ass, the majority of your work is done you can add in flats and boom, 80% of the character is done.

I hope that helps, if you want to chat more, you know where to find me ;D

One thing though, you missed the battle deadline, but you have to finish this out - 1. because I want to see the final! and 2. This is a hellova challenge by most mortal standards - unless you're a 10 year+ industry pro, this is an ass-whipper of a piece (I know, whipped me several times)
Finish it out, because this is a great piece to test your skills and learn how to read inks. Dude, I'm happy to help you if you want

G.

Thanks for the feedback. Combination of work and my own comic deadline helped run out this clock, not to mention just the sheer cast of characters.

I'll keep in mind your advice about saturation levels as I continue on. I do plan to finish this but that might not happen til the end of this month or the beginning of next month. Many projects slated for this month.

Thanks again for the feedback and support.
