HEAD-CANNON TIME: In which Marinette kicks ass, and Chat Noir looses his heart~
older!Chat Noir is running a random patrol on the rooftops, by himself, and notices trouble is afoot down below. Being a part of Paris’ great duo, he drops down below to end it. One way or another, he looses his staff/baton and it’s getting pretty serious. Just when things look like they could go south, someone else picks up his weapon and joins the fight. And they kick some serious butt.
He turns to thank the stranger, and sees it’s none other than older!Marinette Dupain-Cheng. And he can’t believe it. He watches as she takes down the other evil-doers with ease. He tries to say something, to save face or say something cool, but nothing comes out. He’s speechless, and his heart is beating way too fast. She’s amazing, and beautiful, and fearless, and howdidheneverseethisbefore. And Marinette can’t help but poke fun at him a little when they’re done, laugh beautifully and ask if he’s OK. And he’s completely and absolutely love-struck.
OK see, this is why I draw instead of write, HAHA. But this idea just wouldn’t leave me alone, and I had a lot of fun with it. May color this later too. And I think I’m finding out my favorite ML ship MariChat. BECAUSE I LOVE THESE SINNAMON ROLLS. <3Chat Noir and Ladybug (c) Miraculous Ladybug

Oh wow, this is just too plain cute. Are you going to color it? And I can't help but wonder why Marinette didn't transform~ I'm a sucker for Marichat, though!

I actually thought about that for a good while when originally coming up with the head-canon!
I figured Marinette would have been nearby, for whatever reason. (Maybe she was making a delivery for her parents' bakery, and it was luck she was nearby.) She hears the shouting, and years of being a hero makes her run towards the scuffle instead of away. She peeks around the corner, to see what's going on, fully intending to transform into Ladybug a safe distance away right after-
When she sees Chat Noir take a hit from one of the perpetrators.
She doesn't even pause, it's instinct. She moves without thinking, grabbing the nearest weapon she can find- which just happens to be Chat's - and joins the fray. Because it's automatic that she helps her partner now, and it doesn't even cross her mind (until much, much later of course) that she wasn't Ladybug at the time. LOL.
