I but this under still life rather than people because it was a study on the pants... Although, I really like how her belly turned out... *poke poke* *squish squish*What looks like her undies is really a swimsuit bottem. You know how in the summer preppy girls leave their shorts unbottoned and rolldown the waist... Yeah. That's what this is a drawing of. The line thingys on her simsuit are a fabric cording decoration.
Folds and wrinkles in denim are hard... ;__;

it's good, but i advise more contrast. try more B pencils(i usually use 2B, 4B, 6B, and 8B at times and sometimes B). also try not to leave an area pure white, even if you use a light pencil like HB or 2H, what makes an area "look" white or highlighted is the contrast-of course there are exceptions. so just put a really dark tone next to it and it'll pop. and one other thing, i'm not saying it's bad, but smug technique seems to take away the texture aspect of the drawing. for an example:cross-hatch for pants gives it a more denim look and smug on skin gives it a smooth texture, and the contrast between the two techniques would also emphasize the subject too. bottomline:use the technique(s) you are good at or comfortable-after all, isn't that what art is all about(doing what you what). but there might come a time you will be nudged(maybe even shoved)into exploring all techniques-that's if you go to art college or somthing-so why not start now? ok, i'm done-i'll shut up now.
