Very impressive. Your painting technique is very dynamic, and even with similar colors, the tones are noticeably different. I like the ethereal flames myself, much better than traditional green or blue

It's such a great looking mini and I loved painting it. Tactically I don't think its that great, but it's only 90pts so why not take it and chuck it on the board with an unholy lodestone for an extra 30pts to help out with raising undead.

Thats fair enough! Always good to have a unifying colour across the army.
It still looks great and the blue actually brings across the magical element of the model. I guess it is perfectly plaguey enough with all the zombies!!
So what armies do you have other than vc and ogres? I have about 5000pts of eldar for 40k and my fledgling ogre army.

Ogres 6000pts, Vampires 3500, Chaos Warriors 5000pts (or more with expensive characters and chosen warriors), Lizardmen 3500pts, Beastmen 2500pts and Chaos Daemons 2 models. I used to play a whole lot more than I have been lately, sometimes three games a week. I went back to University at the start of the year and haven't had as much time for games as I used to. Most of my models are unpainted because I was more into playing than painting, now its the opposite.

I have always been more of a player than painter to be honest, which is why I have paid a friend of mine to paint a fairly large amount of my eldar army (and will probably pay him again to do some more to finish it off) and why I have gone for painted models from ebay so I don't have to do it!
A full time job, wife and child tends to take most of my time so not really got much time for painting. I would rather spend time playing the game nowadays!!

I like the look of it but I think the flames should be a more sickly colour like green maybe.
I was gonna originally collect chaos warriors (nurgle) and use a corpse cart as a warshrine but then decided to collect ogres instead!

Too many. I did the flames blue to match all the ethereal units in my army.
