Ohmy.. The computer and Photoshop ganged up against me every time I opened his file XP - it's size is 241 MB on the psd file alone! All the layers I put into it (not including the separate pages I scanned in and worked on before compiling it all).

Javu has been my catch-all for my advancement in learning the pen tool... His full view was hand-sketched with a brush tool, with some straight-line one-stroke-at-a-time pen tool work. Then his wing views were with rapid-fire-click-carefully-in-a-way-it-looks-smooth penning. and then the lower images were finally with the single-line-warping-the-anchor-points-along-the-base-line technique (which I have to say was so much easier when it came to the anthro appearance XP XD)

A good deal about his species is mentioned in his ref, but eventually I'll have a species ref for all my characters.

Another note about Ruukas- Only the high-born have two elements to control, all the normal ones are of one element.

Status on the D'renai-Daviens - I've scanned in 5+ pages of sketches and begun the process of penning after they sat on my comp for over 2 months XD. Already I have another D'renai char pestering me because a laughing gull's wing-nick inspired me during work yesterday (I've been watching him all day, as he kept flying around where I saw the large V-gap in one of his wings along the primaries).
