Bruh, I'm down with the retcon. I don't know why everyone is so upset about it but to me this is a better option.
Dragonball has always been told from the anime series or manga (DBS has a manga adaptation). Expecting everyone to know the story from watching two movies breaks from that tradition. Toei and Akira could've took the easy route and skip the two movies but now we can fit more content into those two arcs.

Yeah I mean they can add more stuff to those two arcs but I just expected something completely new. We'll see where it goes.. I'm just wondering, since now there's super Saiyan in "ssj god" mode, will there be ssj2 and 3 too? Would be badass to see a ssj god ssj 3 lol.

When they said there was going to be a new series, I wasn't so surprised that the story takes place within BoG and RoF. It was pretty expected, BoG left us in the dark about the SSJG and a lot was left unexplained. It wasn't like they were just going to skip the next 6-7 years past the final episode of DBZ with nothing.
I kinda wished they stuck to the red haired SSJG. People complained about it and I feel like because of that they steered it into the SSJGSS direction. I mean, SSJG was so unique! The design and symbolism, to its uncanny and mysterious powers.
If there is a new form, it'll probably be green hair or something xD

Hmm I dunno I kinda like both SSJG and SSGSS, although I wish they called the red form just "Saiyan God", then the blue one " Super Saiyan God" because it just seems less redundant lol. And apparently (from what I've read), the new base form is basically the normal appearance but they retain the god powers (called Saiyan Beyond God), and the Blue form is basically going Super Saiyan as a Saiyan Beyond God. Lol its kinda confusing to explain it like that but basically they have a new base form which is Saiyan Beyond God. I'm just wondering if there will be higher tiers after SSGSS.
I also heard that after the BoG and Revival of F arcs, they will be travelling to another universe to attempt to collect the "Super DRAGONBALLS" and they will fight enemies there. I'm wondering maybe some super baddie will kill whis or beerus and they have to travel somewhere else to get these dragonballs? Idk

I heard about that too, but it kind of looks like they confused themselves just because their aura looks a little yellow. I believe that SSJG is stronger than SSJGSS because red hair is obtained from a ritual while blue hair was achieved by oneself borrowing left over godly ki.
(Kind of hoping for green hair tho xD)
It's called the Universe 6 Arc and there are now 9 Super Dragonballs. I think the balls are from Universe 6. I just hope this isn't a repeat of GT because that arc was horrible.

Hmm that's a good point. SSJG is the full powers but we don't know if they are able to retain the full power or just part of it after the transformation wears off. Hopefully they explain it a bit as the series goes on. My theory is that after training with whis they were able to reach the SSJG power in base form and then SSGSS was basically like a super Saiyan power boost with godly ki. I do love the blue aura tho :3

Come to think of it, I don't think the characters actually named their new form. We just call it SSJGSS because we have nothing else to call it but I really hope they rename it later or give a new design

Yeah I did lol.. I'm so baffled as to how they let that animation be in the show. It looked like really bad fan art. Like geez they should have just reused footage from BoG rather than that crap. I just watched the frieza movie too and the difference is ridiculous. Like how do people work for db when they can't even draw goku's face? Bah

Well, you should know about the struggles of a Japanese animator.
Not that the episode was acceptable, but people who work on individual episodes are different from people working on movies and such.
In fact they use a lot of freelancers and work 11 hours a day going by a weekly deadline.

Yeah I understand that. I'm not knocking the actual animators, more the higher ups and people who are in charge of running the new series. Dragonball is such a huge franchise and has been around for years. Forcing them to produce an episode every week and rushing it like this is an insult to all the fans who have waited over a decade for.a new series. I'd rather they wait 5 more years and release a perfect product than the sad excuse of an episode that episode 5 was. That being said, the previous 4 episodes were okay and I'm hoping they learned their lesson after episode 5. Rant over lol

Lol, Out of the entire episode 5, SSJ1 and SSJ2 were consistently poor. When Goku transformed into SSJ3 it got a lot better.
And I agree, I was totally fine with the previous episodes. Can't wait till Bingo Dance soon!

Idk man, I saw a couple shots in ssj3 that were bad lol. But it wasn't just the faces, the animation was so stiff and lazy ughhh haha. Let's hope they clean it up later in an updated release. BINGO!

Those couple shots were single in-between frames.
The animation was fine. The art was really lazy and looked like it was done in Flash.
The choreography for SSJ1 and SSJ2 needs work too.
