Description

After moving some furniture around in my room, it became necessary to redesign the Lego City accordingly. A part of that involved moving both of these buildings into this area, and simply because I could, I took that as an opportunity to completely rebuild both of them, mainly focused on colour coordination. I think the chevron pattern on the taller building looks pretty decent. If I had the bricks to actually give it a colour scheme with only two or three colours, I'd do that, but alas I don't.

The building on the right is the City Control Center, and it's the 10th rebuild (at least) of a building I first built back in about 2002. Back then it was only one level, and no pictures of it exist. It soon grew to 2 floors, then 5, then 8, it occasionally had a tower on the roof too. This here is the oldest image I have of it, by my count it's the third rebuild. fav.me/d311g6f

The building on the left is a Paramilitary Operations building. It serves as both housing and storage for the militia personnel and equipment. The second floor functions as a landing bay for small speeder-type vehicles. The upper floors are living quarters, but word has it that the recruited mercs and militiamen living there have yet to decide on any furniture...

So, in the interest of full disclosure, this picture was taken four years ago, in 2014. I've been meaning to post it ever since, but ...well, here we are. Plus, I've just now finished *another* rebuild of both these buildings, so I'll soon be posting another update image. Hopefully won't take four years this time.
