Description Managed to get homework done at work last night so I had time to finish this today.  I am actually a little impressed with how this turned out.  Much better than I had hoped for.  It helped that I used a good face reference.  I think that's going to be the key with these--I need to find face references of people in real life to kind of loosely base the characters around.  For this one I used actress Olivia Wilde.  Obviously she's not Native American but it was the face structure I was more concerned about.  It worked out pretty well, I think.

Also, I was watching the movie with my daughter yesterday and oh my goodness! It's been a few years since I saw it last and I had forgotten how sad it is!  I always had a major crush on Kocoum for some reason (and maybe still do a little bit) and for some reason I thought he just got hurt and then I was watching it and he died and I was devastated.  And then John and Pocahontas just go their separate ways at the end and you know the settlers are going to end up wiping out the Native Americans eventually and it's just...sad.  I know, I know-- it's a fictional story and I'm putting way too much thought into it. Anyways....

Up next: Tiana (because I just watched that again and I also found a great face reference for her)

That face is amazing And the contrast on her skin around the neck and the side of her face is also stunning.

THIS LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!

And it isn't really a fictional story, just the part about John Smith, real people, NOT a romance story xD
However, as a little kid I was TOTALLY sad when he left. And then the second movie came out and I hated it because she just brushed him off like they were never in love >_> ....... Then I took my first history class and was like "Oh...." ...xD

THIS IS MY FAVORITE DISNEY MOVIE THOUGH!!! <3333

Well, true.  I guess it's more like a true story where they took a lot of creative liberties

Yeah. TONS. I really wonder how that all started, it would be interesting to learn.

Yay! This turned out GREAT! I looove the shading around her face and jaw and the subtle contrast in her hair. Well done!
