Description Ummm, yeah

Ok, so I know this could have been much better, but right now my knowledge of photoshop is very slim. I would love it if somebody would show me how to add shading effects in photoshop....

Anyway, this is Tahoe in the buff. It was just an anatomy practice for muscles, so tell me what you think!

You did a pretty good job on it, keep working on it and you'll eventually get better.

(whistling low) So that's what you were hinting at the other day...

Whoa, now thaaaat's hot, donchaknow. But you're looking for critique right? Well, I won't be too damning.

One of the most valubable lessons I was taught during life drawing was always work on the skeleton as a basis... I got a small skeleton mannequin one once when I went to the Gunther von Hagen exhibition in London several years ago when I was still in college --- to summarise von Hagen caused a lot of controversy when he debuted Body Worlds, numerous actual human corpses preserved in a transparent plasticine solution and at one point a live public dissection; the dissection aired on TV and got over 130 complaints in the first 5 minutes alone-- at any rate, I treasure that to this day. Anyway, my point is that the skeleton makes for the basics of true anatomy, and then along comes the muscle... heh-heh-heh. I'm sure you have your various methods of research for this.. I mean, living in Florida and all and it's almost high summer... and a certain bodybuilding dingo, donchaknow. At any rate, my advice is to study closely at how they work together, stragetically placed across the body. I guess the advantage of having Life Drawing classes for five years means I don't struggle as much as I used to when applying anatomy, even if it's in rough drafting. Observational drawing is essential really... not just the more muscular human specimens but all body shapes really --- I mean, when you get the chance to of course -- it's great practice for recognising where everything's meant to go, no matter if the physical fitness. And don't forget.. looking at any thing could prove useful. I've taken to watching the new British version of Gladiators for example, and collecting the occasional Men's Health. S'just a matter of practice. One book you might find invaluable would be Dorling Kindersley's Anatomy for the Artist -- It's certainly helped with the Howlers's chests. At any rate, You've done marvellously for a first try donchaknow.... anatomy's one of the most difficult things t'get right.

Wish I had some advice for shading but I tend to go by eye every time I go for it... I don't really have a set method.... -_-; Sorry Pup.

Best wishes,

'Kami

So basically it's all about the skeleton structure that depends on the rest of the anatomy?

Hehe! I figured you'd like this one
I should be this buff by the end of July!

it's really good, and considering it's your first try at such muscles makes it better.

Not bad really. I think the only thing that I can point out is the forarm on the right (his left) doesnt seem to fit in right. Otherwise good practise work here.
PS: I knew I made the right choice in green swimshorts in that pic I made! x3

Yeah, the arm DID come out a bit odd...

Thanks! I think green swimsuits/Speedos fit Tahoe quite well
