Maybe because they're total opposites? The gruff, silent, antisocial and extremely violent super solider with a tragic past, and the happy,bubbly, scatterbrained little pony girl who only looks to the future. One comes from a nightmarish world of war and genocide, and the other from a near-utopian peaceful paradise.

Well, Kromlech, Spellcrow and Maxmini do Plague / Rubric marine parts. Enough for full conversions, legs and all. Spellcrow's are whole kits and are more 'juicy' looking then forge world's versions. As much as I like the FW ones, I miss the old gas-masked Plague marines though. There's lots out there, and growing these days.

It makes sense. The Imperial / Space Marine, Tau, Necron, and (normal) Eldar armies are pretty much the only ones with truly specific models. Everyone else can basically use whatever.
