More Info: Neptunite and Benitoite Alpha were the very first paired gems made in Musgravite's lab. Originally Neptunite Alpha was supposed to be created but Strawberry Quartz mixed up two of the wrong ingredients and thus Benitoite was created along side him. They were made to be Scouts to travel and search for other planets that are able to sustain a kindergarten. In the process of making another pair just like the Alphas Muave Pearl had accidentally added another mixture to the solution when he was tackled by Musgravite's other creations. To Mus's and SQ's surprise the very first matrix gems were born, creating multiple Neptunites and Benitoites. He noticed that for every one Neptunite (smaller than Alpha) there were two Benitoites paired with them. The Alphas immediately fell in love with all of them and vowed to teach them about the worlds they travel to. When they went on their scouting mission to the planet Earth (before the gem war) Mus wanted to see if he could make more matrix gem and if they would turn out differently. Long story short, both Alphas came home with a whole new style that was adopted by the Greeks and was greeted by a whole room full of their little selves.
