"Ghost Ship"- One of her famous magic tricks is shrouding her ship in mist. Not only do this gives her ship an element of surprise but for those who are superstitious it can be used as a scare tactic. Many who know who she is would know when you see mist rolling in Leilani is approaching.
"Fairy Dust"- Leilani is able to temporarily blind others with bursts of light, though this won't work on everybody.

History:

    As a little girl Leilani has always loved the ocean and the marine life. Her father a fisherman and her mother, who passed when she was 10, was a jewelry maker. She would always go fishing with her father and learn about the different fish he caught. She studied more about the other different species that could live out in the oceans. Every night her father and mother would tell her stories about beautiful mermaids that would travel the seas and visit fishermen. The good mermaids aiding lost fishermen back to shore and the bad ones sinking the ships. Before her mother passed she gave both of them matching necklaces that would match together to become one whole piece. Lei had what seemed to be a fish tail to remind her of her father being a fisherman and her father had the upper half of a lady that resembled Lei, together they made a mermaid a nickname her mother started calling her.
    As Leilani grew older she would go diving while her father stayed on the boat to fish. On a day that had promised rain her father told her to stay ashore as he went to go fetch his fishing traps just in case it turned out to be a bad storm and ruin the traps. Not too long after her father left the shore it started to rain lightly. Lei waited for her father to come when minutes turned to hours. She was startled out of her bored trance when she heard thunder. Where was her father is was starting to get bad outside. Feeling worried she went out into the windy, drinching weather thinking that maybe her father probably stopped by the market area to drop off the fish that were caught instead of heading straight home. She was wrong, his boat wasn’t at the docks or anywhere to be found and the storm was getting worse to the point where she had to go seek shelter. She feared the worst as the storm lasted far too long for her liking, her father might not be coming back.
    A year or so passed since her father’s passing and Lei had found a job similar to a cabin boy on a pirate ship. She hated it, but the crew made it better and the captain became someone like a second father to her. She stumbled into the captain when he was walking off his boat and she noticed her father’s necklace around his neck. Turns out the captain tried to save her father whose boat was destroyed during the storm but he was too badly injured. Throughout the years of working on the ship she worked her way through the ranks becoming the right hand man of the captain.
    Lei was getting older and so was the captain. Everyone was noticing he was getting physically tired though his mentality said otherwise. He put up a fight for a few more years but soon realized it was a losing battle. He knew when it was time to give up his seat and he had no doubt that Leilani was ready for the position. He knew she would take care of the ship and the crew with a caring iron fist. The now previous captain declared Lei as the new captain and stepped down residing on an island to retire on.
