Sumomo/Plum from Chobits for the second friend's birthday. I'm sorry it's so late, so I worked harder on it. >_< The picture looks great from a distance, but looks pretty crappy close-up.Let's see... I was done with the sketch about two months ago...
then it took be forever to line on the computer... and I CGed it in one go after I got home from school today. (Hey, it's a Friday afterall.)My CG is so screwed up right now. O_o I tried something new, and this is the result. I guess it isn't that bad... but it just looks weird. Sooo bright. @_@
Hrm. One arm looks fatter than the other. Damn it.
Too much stuff to do, more things to be sad about. *scoots off*

Well I'll have to say the errors are hard to see under the beautiful arrays of shading and lighting done in the rendering process. Either I need glasses, or those arms look ok. I think the proportion of the feet and maybe the length of the arms are off. But other than that you've created such a cute atmosphere which I've seen you do time and time again.
I have always admired the way you cg artist' can candy up the eyes, its marvelous! Believe me though I'm being totally honest with you, if I would have seen any other errors, I'm pretty sure I would have noticed them. Oh and also remember that my critiquing skill are not backed up by any kind of scholastic crudentials whatsoever lol ^^...yeah I think I'm starting to ramble now

Yeah, its like I said, I'm not the best, but I have experience.
I know eyes can be candied up with traditionals, but I just love the way you do it with the cg...I mean its so beautiful!

I guess the color of the background is too similiar to sumomo so its kind of hard to see her.
as for her hair u can try add more lines in it so that it looks like a hair...

OK you ask for critique so lets see what I can do. Something about the position and size of her eye makes the profile look unnatural ... two dimentional I guess. The rest of the posture is done perfectly though. Goodness Sumomo is so cute, seeing her always makes me wanna get up and do my morning stretches lol
