I see a lot of different birds seem to do that. I think they are hiding it away for themselves. Like squirrels with peanuts.

I want to put a bird feeder out, but I live in a city and I will probably get mostly pigeons if I do that. We do have a few around us in the more wooded areas, though.

My problem now is the growing population of cats and dogs in the neighborhood. The birds are much more cautious so it's much harder to get good shots.
