that's what it wants you to think. It's harmless, so it adopted the colors typical for a wasp as a means of protection against predators.

Thanks my friend, several folks say it's a hoverfly or flower fly. What ever it is so be it

I tell you it's a hell of a successful mimicry If no one knows exactly what it is

it's neither. It's a hover fly/flower fly.
This is just an example of a special case of mimicry where the animal mimics an aposematic animal. Aposematism is a fancy word for when an animal is brightly colored and patterned to advertise that it is poisonous, venomous or otherwise dangerous to protect itself from predators.
Harmless animals that utilise the same bright colors actually gain the same protection as the animals they mimic, with the advantage of not subjecting themselves to the same metabolic strains they would be under if they were actually producing their own poison or venom for self defense. Poisons and venoms are very complex compounds and it takes valuable energy to produce effective amounts of these chemicals.
They just wear the uniform but have no weapons. You can see this quite often among insects, even some butterflies (oak clearwing moth) and beetles (zebra striped longhorn beetle) wear a similar black and yellow striped jacket to look more like an actual wasp.
