So I'm totally a dork.Anyway, I went and saw the speed racer movie about two weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with it. (Especially Racer X)
I'll admit I never watched the anime before now . . . . and its completely ridiculous. But I loved the movie.
Its supposed to be like that scene where he's hopping out of the car, but it looks more like he got distracted halfway getting in.

The wide leg pants give it more of that retro flair.
However, the fold in the shirt, as well as the face, had me thinking he was a girl, or at least a trap.

The anime was not so bad. I mean, come on. But the movie is kinda half in between for me, but I'll buy it when it comes out on DVD, but I have to collect all five of the anime collection first.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but the same thing happened with me and Iron Man; never read the comic or watched the show, but I love the new movie. Great sparkly background!
