I actually have my evenings "free," that is, until I do things like clean or laundry or shower or cook dinner . . . some days I wonder how long I can keep up this pace. I hear that in europe, they have fewer hours in their work week, and that people are therefore healthier, as far as living a balanced life (and mentally healthier too). But in a capitalist society, like that would ever happen . . .

Yeah, they work like... 30 hour weeks and get longer vacations because they believe the longer you work, the more you hate your job, so their method is more time off = more productivity!
