I just LOVE how loki protected jane from the explosion.... it shows that he really does care about his "brother", and a lot too.

I think he really did care about his mom. No one was watching him when he slammed all his furniture in anger while he was in prison. So there was no audience for him to try and manipulate.
Well that and I think the idea of him being a mamas boy is adorable

I think he truly protected Jane. I mean, Thor was not even looking, I think. And Loki's emotion on his face as he was getting sucked up into that portal was...well...it was sincere. I do not think he actually planned that. It was instinct to push Jane out of the way, I think

I remember this passage in the film, I was thinking "Mother fucker ! Why did you do that to Thor, Loki ?!" and then "Oh no ! Please, don't die ! You just can't !" and I was crying xD

I sensed that he can not just so die because he's too clever & crafty. I was hoping the rest of the film that he has to appear somewhere live & unscathed. And voila! He sits on the throne. In general I very liked this movie. Energetic, fun & interesting movie. But of course so sorry Frigga. Who will now defend Loki?

Yeah, I agree with you. This movie is great. And Loki is just incredible in it. I think that while he was in prison, he had no one to talk to. And then he became talkative & sarcastic. And it gives the movie of humor & interest.
