This reminds me of a idea for a story that I've had running around in my brain for a while now:
An officer Jenny is called to a 'Disturbance' in the local market to find a crowd around a Charizard without a trainer, but wearing a backpack. The Charizard is calm however, & she subsequently finds to her shock that he can speak perfect English very articulately. He is puzzled by everyone's reactions & just wants to shop in peace. He has money & he wants goods, so what is the trouble?
I haven't gotten any further with the idea though because I haven't fleshed it out properly. Is the Charizard a transformed Human who is somehow unaware of what's happened to them, a very intelligent member of his species who has learned to talk (like Meowth in the Anime) or from another world of Sentient Pokemon (like the Mystery Dungeon games)? And what happens next? I haven't figured it out, but I just love the image of this massive powerful creature just wanting to buy some apples like a civilised being, & being bemused by everyone's shock at his behaviour.
