The sun shown brightly above you as the rays caressed your face. Kuroo and you were sitting together at the beach this morning, and luckily enough, nobody besides the two of you were out there, so you could enjoy this moment alone together.

"To be honest, I can't swim." He said bluntly.

"Really?!"

"No, I totally can. I was just messing with you." He replied with a shit-eating grin, making you give him a look.

"Good. I like that face." He said as he scooted towards you.

A blush crept up on your cheeks, Arrgh...why must you always be like this.. you thought to your flustered self.

"Because it's fun. Obviously." Kuroo said as his gaze was set upon the crashing waves. "And next time, when you're thinking, try not to say it out loud."

You inwardly slapped yourself. Me and my big mouth.

"It's fun to lie?" You replied to him after regaining your 'cool', referring to his line about swimming.

"No." He said with his signature cat-like smirk plastered on his face. "I just like getting a ride out of you."

"What's that supposed to mean...?"

"I meant it literally. I can forget about everything else when we two are talking like this. And that is absolutely NOT a lie." Kuroo said as he looked in your eyes with a surprisingly serious look on his face, leaving you speechless.

"...Or it could be. Who knows?" He said, his frivolous smirk reappearing.

"Tetsurou!" He laughed as you punched him in the arm.

"...I'm really happy when I'm with you..." His gaze softened as he spoke with a whispered tone.

"What?" You said, not making out what he said, and curious of it.

"Never mind." He remarked, yet another frivolous grin was apparent on his features.

You looked down, as your eyes settled upon his hand. You inwardly smiled as you took your small hand in his, as he was taken aback, "Hmm...?"

As you tightened your grip as he gave you a solicitous expression with alleviated eyes, "What am I going to do with you?"

In a matter of moments, he squeezed your hand tight, never wanting to let go.
