oikawa and (y/n) own a shared apartment close to their university.

The apartment was as hot as a boiling sauna; hot and humid. It was miserable. Although Oikawa was by your side, looking through the all the pokemon he had caught on Pokemon Go, he was silent at the moment, which made the heat even more unbearable. It was as if the air was so thick and moist that it stuck to your skin. Even with the air conditioning on throughout the whole apartment building, it was as if the heat found a way through. The sky outside of the windows were void of any clouds, seeing as though the stars had yet to have shown. It wasn't too late out, but the heat made it so your usual tiredness at this hour was increased intensely.

Sighing with dissatisfaction, you kept shifting around to find a position you could manage to be comfortable in. Unfortunately, the heat managed to not let you get comfort in the least, as the air stiffened your muscles and movement. Noticing your discomfort, Oikawa's eyes gazed off of his phone screen and peered over at you, seeing as you kept twisting and turning. In a swift motion, Oikawa quickly turned off his phone, placing it on the nearby nightstand, and shifted closer to you, resting his head on your lap.

"What's wrong, (y/n)-chan?" He asked out of curiosity, his voice laced with a concerning tone.

Emitting another sigh, running your fingers through his hair half-heartedly, you replied, "No, it's just really hot in here, Tooru."

Although the conversation ceased for a moment, Oikawa took the time to lift his head up to meet yours. Resting his forehead on yours, he gazed in your eyes, without falter. A smile etched its way upon his features as his arms snaked themselves around your waist. But quickly seeing as his body was radiating even more heat, you inwardly shook your head as you lightly pushed him away.

"Tooru! It's too hot for this." Your words began to slow down, as it showed the traces of exhaustion in your voice.

Not responding to your words, he took the moment you were distracted from pushing him to nuzzle his head in the crook of your neck, and brought your form closer to his. "(Y/n)-chan, it's hot in here anyways. We might as well enjoy ourselves while we're at it."

As soon as he ended his flirtatious statement, you slumped your back lazily against the bed. "Under normal circumstances, I would. But it's way too hot to even think about doing anything under those lines."

After earning a playful pout from Tooru, you stifled a laugh, and slowly shut your eyes. Although the banter between the two of you was short, you still couldn't help but feel the warm embrace of sleepiness slowly drag you in to a half-awake state. Taking advantage of the moment, his grin soon returning, Oikawa laid down next to you and enveloped his arms around you. Although it was hot, it was nice having your boyfriend like this with you. A smile ghosted itself on your lips, as you slowly drifted off to sleep. Oikawa's skin began sticking to yours, as if he was being glued to you, slowly closing his eyes as he fell into the warm embrace of sleep, himself.
