I used just a normal pencil ^o^

I should get into using more HB, 2B and artist-like pencils though @w@;

Yeah, it's hard because colored pencils aren't really that fast with coming up with a good result.
But you should try by shading in the direction of the object and the likes.

Oh I do ^w^ My scanner doesn't seem to pick up the colors though ._.

I use tons of different shades with lighting source and all D;

Oh, do you try adjusting the curves and levels in PS? I di that that helps a lot
