The light in this place was awesome... took this photo while hiding around the corner from a security guard.. only one I was able to take before getting kicked out

Bummer about the security guard. Was it in a public building like a library or something? Unfortunately the rules on photography in places like that is painfully strict. (I worked in a library so I've seen my fair share of situations like that.) Interestingly enough, your photo looks very similar to the style of the library I worked in. I know it's not but it's similar. Anyway...back to the photo. You're right, the light is amazing and I'm glad you were able to get a shot off. Beautiful soft browns combined with a great angle. Great job.

no, its actually a section of apartments inside a skyscraper in charlotte. for the most part public buildings in my hometown are pretty cool with people taking photos... but charlotte is a huge banking mecca, so they have guards everywhere. those guards can smell cameras from a long ways away.

ah this reminds me of 'orient' the pic which made me start watching you. smooth surfaces and beautiful light.. and this one also has an incredible perspective when you look at it as if it were pointed downwards
