i was visiting SF from japan a three weeks ago and looked up and was suprised to see this - couldn't place where I had seen it before but now that I'm back home I've been looking for it...

Beautiful in its simplicity.
I like the darkening of the upper right corner. It does not change the form of the shot, only adds a bit of visual complexity that really helps the shot from feeling flat.

By the way...heading to S.F. on Tuesday myself. Hope to bring back a few too!
I will also head to Yosemite for 2-3 days...I know landscape is not my strength but I will give it a go.
Anyway...I like the clean look of this photo...very graphic design-ish.

oh nice! try to hit the redwood forest if you can. Muir woods is a smaller forest about 20-30 mins north of the golden gate bridge. DEFINITELY worth it. SF moma is another place to check out. I got a ton of good photos from there.
