As for my first year of photography almost all being architecture, Ive decided to break the mold a bit and go with a self portrait. I shot this right after waking up, right before going to work.Really it was one of those weekends where you feel like it wasnt long enough at all. You wake up monday thinking its saturday.. but its not...
time to take a shower and head in to work for the week... maybe next weekend will be better
This is a self portrait I just kinda took spontaneously. Im holding the camera at arms length...shooting with 50mm. I half toned this photo, but left a bit of color in. I'm curious what you think...

Nice, I really like the tones. But I think you should have had more focus on the eyes.
But since you say it's rather a spontaneous photo, it works well.

I think it's excellent. I know how hard it is to hold the cam in your hands and take a decent shot. Just wish there was more focus on your eyes, but I understand it is almost impossible to focus correctly if you don't have the "flip-out" display.

i had a long weekend, 3 days 
I quite like the shot, tones are good. kinda matches the dirty grungy kinda look (which i always associate with Mondays) of your unshaven face. I like the way you've captured alot of detail here. The pose is quite well done for a spontaneous shot.
