As for my first year of photography almost all being architecture, Ive decided to break the mold a bit and go with a self portrait. I shot this right after waking up, right before going to work.Really it was one of those weekends where you feel like it wasnt long enough at all. You wake up monday thinking its saturday.. but its not...
time to take a shower and head in to work for the week... maybe next weekend will be better
This is a self portrait I just kinda took spontaneously. Im holding the camera at arms length...shooting with 50mm. I half toned this photo, but left a bit of color in. I'm curious what you think...

You have gorgeous eyes and a talent for choosing colors. Wafts of nostalgia seem to eminate from those dark olive orbs. I must say, I love it, as well as most of the rest of your gorgeous gallery. I hope you continue these photographs. Each is like an ephemeral break from all that isn't quite asthetic in the world (much less than you'd think).

There is something in this photo, maybe the look in your eyes, that seems very different than most of the pics I have come across on DA. I don't know how to describe it. Like I am seeing you and not a pose. I love this photo, you are quite handsome.

The look on your face is just great. And I love the colors you ended up with. The detail makes this shot far better than the usual spontaneous self-portrait on dA. Well done

you're gorgous, I love the emotion that you've captured, it's soo amazing, I know what it's like taking self portraits, and it's soo difficult I take the majority of my own, and it's increibly difficult but you've mastered it. Great job.

It's quite a flattering portrait. It's a great angle for your face and it has been composed quite nicely. My favorite part is the drop off of focus on your right eye...very well done. I thought it was Trent Reznor at first...but you are much better looking.

I like it, i like the dark in it.. in my opinion you have a strong face, with strong features, but you kind of minimalised that with the overall softness of the photo, the light strands of hair infront of your face really helps with the softness. You are definately a beautiful man, and I am currently obsessed with your lips, they are so sexy! hehe

I'm in the exact same situation, currently. I die to make portraits but yet I can not and want not to shoot them yet because I don't own a dslr. Only a canon g5 so far.
