Description
This Design: Judy Garland's portrayal of L Frank Baum's iconic character Dorothy Gale is arguably one of the most iconic characters in all of cinema. I toyed with the idea of making the slippers in this silver, rather than ruby red, as they were in the book, but I eventually decided that many people had a soft spot in their heart for Garland's ruby slippers, rather than Baum's silver ones. This parody lyric is, of course, from Jay Z's 2003 hit song "99 Problems but a Bitch Ain't One" where he lists his problems, among them being racially profiled by the police, having people who want to murder him, being physically assaulted, but he can be assured that none of his problems are romantic in nature. Being that both the most recent reference in this piece is almost a decade old, I'm probably dating myself, but I think it holds up well over time. The pattern is included in the Premium download.
