Description
Before the Mushroom War, Simon Petrikov was an antiquarian who studied ancient artifacts from across the world. In his journeys, he found a crown that he intended to study for it's historical significance, however, after putting it on his head while playing around, he became linked to the crown, which was actually created by an ancient mage, in the hopes of boosting his magic power enough to help him destroy a meteor bound for the planet. The crown does grant the wearer great magic powers dealing with ice, snow, and cold, but it has the unfortunate side effect of causing madness. After the Mushroom war, Simon finds himself slowly giving in to this madness to survive, as he tried to protect himself, and a young child, Marceline who he found wandering the bombed-out wreckage of their world.
