Description
To get to the town of Malimbuktu, follow the road towards where the sun rises. After a few day's ride, you will come upon The Laughing Skull. Then you'll know you're near. Oh and don't ever think of stealing the dagger. *leans in* It's cursed!- Wanderer
I spent too much time on this one e.e Landscape studies with a bit of story injected to it.
Made in P.S and Huion GT220 v2 using references and a bit of photobashing

And yes, the series calls it a 'raptor talon', though I presume they were inspired by the typical movie-raptors from the Jurassic Park franchise, since real velociraptors are tiny, like turkey sized XD and even the closest-sized cousins to a real velociraptor, which is a deinonychus, would not be as big as that. In fact, you can see the real deinonychus claw on display in front of the knife. That's a fossil I bought from a museum in New York when I visited the states. It's tiny compared to the knife's version haha xD but yeah, the knife still makes a real good display, even if historically inaccurate LOL

Thanks memo dear <3 Tbh, I didn't think it would result into this. I just wanted to up my game in terms of landscapes and finally got off my lazy butt to study w/ references haha.
I must say, the texture brushes in PS helped me a lot for the desert setting

yeah I get ya o.e it was partly the reason why I transferred over to PS. I just couldn't for the life of me figure out how to do texture shizzshticks in SAI.
But youuuu shouuuld. It's pretty daunting but it shall get quite easy in the long run xD
