Description
This project simply took too long: almost five months! I blame the college semester. I'm uploading this really late so I can't be arsed to add what paints I used for now. I'll come back and edit the description, I promise. For now, please enjoy the pictures.

The sigil on this knight is based on the description from the novel: Mechanicum, by Graham McNeill. The Celtic Spirals on the shoulder pads are hand drawn.

The terrain piece is an OOP terrain bit that came with batallion boxes back in the day. The trailing edges of the piece had to be trimmed so it fit onto the base. I had to adjust the height of the floor to accomodate the knight's raised foot height, then filled in the void underneath with spare packing sponge and shower grout. I then pressed rocks from a terrain pack into it, and used the leftover trimmings to simulate fallen girders trusses. The vines at the rear is simple copper wire with greenstuff over it. I used green sponge bits to simulate foliage (yay Woodland Scenic!).

The Skitarii has a base of Cadian Head, torso and legs; Cadian Command Squad rebreather mask; Dwarf Longbeard / Hammerer arms; and a Militarum Tempesus hotshot lasgun. The backpack is a special by Anvil Industries. The rest is a LOT of greenstuff, and two strips of plasticard.

Lore Dump:
The Conclave of Syene Meridius Proximi is the latter day form of an Mechanicus Explorator Fleet that got lost in the Eastern Fringe during the Great Crusade, and reestablished contact with the Imperium during the Age of Rebirth. Similar to the Vostroyans, they enroll their firstborn into Guard Regiments, but the veterans of their Regiments are enlisted into the ranks of the Skitarii.

When the Explorator Fleet set sail from Mars, a detachment of the Knights of Taranis was assigned. When they reconnected with Mars, they entered into talks with the reformed post-Schism House Taranis. The result of such talks was that the Knights of the Conclave would retain the pre-Schism colors and heraldry, but under a different name: House Taranii Fulmen.
