Past story :
Despite of being born into the [Trost District] inside of Wall Rose, Will's life wasn't really easy.
As his mother had died a short time after his birth, his father and sister had to look after him. Which had proven to be rather difficult,as he was quite stubborn most of the time.
Since their father was away from home regularly, because of his job as a [Scouting Legion soldier], his 12 years older sister,Natalie, had to get used to caring for both of them.
Eventhough his sister was used to caring for him, there was however one thing she still had problems with : cutting his hair. When he was about 4 years old, he simply refused to let her cut his hair short. Eventually she gave up, so he'd stop 'sulking', which is why he kept his hair long until these days.

When his father died when he was 4 years old, his sister had to ask their neighbors the Zimmermann family for support. During that time, Will became friends with one of the familiy's older sons Siegfried.
Later, the two met a boy named Luke, who was being bullied at the time. As they tried helping him they soon noticed,that he didn't even need any help at all. However Luke appreciated the thought and since then they'd been friends.
Will's very first fall through a roof, was when he was 5 and the three of them were playing soldiers,until he suddenly fell through the roof of their own house, leaving Luke totallly impresssed on 'how he did that', and his sister yelling at him. Since then it became a regular habbit
As he wasn't really 'normal' from most children in their neighbourhood' Will often got into fights when he was around 9 years old, leaving his friends to having to help him from time to time.
When he turned 12 years old, the fall of Wall Maria became a common and terrifying subject in the whole place. Soon Will & Luke started joking about how they’d join the military and get rid of the titans.
Around that time, Luke's mentor told them to try joining the military,if they really wanted to do something against the titans.
Immediately he asked his sister about her approval of his ‘idea’, but she outright refused to let him join. Which in return set his decision into stone, and he started training so he could one day really join the military.

Personality:
Stubborn is the best word one could use to describe him. No matter what it’s about,he always finds a way to act stubborn and would hardly ever admit having lost.Also it’s better not to say “Don’t do xy”, it’s a sign for him that he has to do it.
Rather Unsocial : As he's not really a person that ‘likes’ to talk to others, he has difficulties in keeping up with any talk that he takes part in.
Girls? No,thanks! : Getting him to talk with girls is an almost impossible thing. Not only because he has ‘no idea how to handle them’,he’ll just treat them like boys and seem ‘rude’.
Oh,and he also think that girls tend to be too stubborn. Like he’s the one to talk
Pain please?: Another thing that prooves his ‘idiocy’, is his almost zero sense of pain. If he was to loose an arm, he wouldn't even notice it. Once someone tells him, he’d outright refuse to get it treated, having to be ‘forced’ to go see a doctor’s. Let's just say he'll be a walking corpse one day
Completely honest : Most of the time,he just flat out says whatever crosses his mind, leaving no room for him to hide anything.
Just like her! : Actually there’s one time when he can be embarassed! That is when other’s say, ‘that he looks just like his late mother’, which makes him feel ‘weak’. Which is actually ironic, since she wasn’t weak at all

Dislikes:
-people taking his food/waking him up

Reason:
To fill the gap in the military his parents had left, and to show everyone that ‘he won’t just end up as titan-food like the most’.
