Description
Something I did without any reason...Haven't much to say anyway to it. Maybe that it took me some time to finish, 'cause I didn't knew what kind of background I should use.
But it turned out okay. It's fine by me.

All those things are beautiful, mysterious and natural. A very nice choice to draw insperation. But you need something to give it meaning, a body to house it.

hmm... there are several ways, actually...
You could either get inspired out of the sudden, by having a simple idea and work it out.
You could get yourself inspired easier by reading/watching stuff you really like, for example your favourite book/movie/series or play a game.
You also can get ideas by simply write down sudden thoughts and then mix them together into some idea.
But whatever you do: never try to force you do to something or rush the work. That would just lead to messing up what you do.

As for materials... personally I only use materials and tools with a very high quality, even when they cost a bit more. There are several lables I would recomment to use, but in the end it would be your decision afterall.
I also plan a tutorial for drawing materials in general terms when I have the time again, so that should tell people about the stuff I normally use.
If you have a question to a certain material/tool, just ask by sending me a note like you did before. I'll help ^^

Anyways, yopu know you said to write down random ideas or such as they came? Well, I've been doing that for a few days now as well as getting inspiration from pics and such and lo and behold. I have just put together a new fic. It really does work. Thanks.

Also i see all this art done on Photoshop or tablet and then I take a look at my Trad and I start thinking maybe it's not good enough. I want to get Photoshop but it comes close to £100 here and thats for the cheaper model.

Ever tried "ArtWeaver"?
That is a FREEWARE(!)-program which basically works almost just like Photoshop. Ok, ain't the real thing and lacks a few functions from PS, but it's a very good thing for starters and packs a lot of functions for something you can simply download for free, especially when you can't effort PS.
