Description Theme 22 of 100 and final piece of the Element Special.

If you get the expression that this pic really took time to get done, bloody hell, you are right about this. It took forever to get done, but for good reason.

With "Time" as the last of my Element-Special of my 100 themes, I had something very special in mind. (Ok, some of you may say that time is actually no element, but this is only partly right. Some mythologies ,indeed, consider time as an element and this is my personal opinion as well.)

Since you can not grab time as a physical thing, but only represent it, I have choosen the clock as a way of showing the element of time.
In fact, you can find many things in here which really represent time as a flow (past, present and future), but also many objects which a deeper sense behind the actually thing, yet always in the context of time.

Btw.
The seven spheres in front of Shadow also have something to do with time. Like to guess? It's hard though, so I will also tell you if you don't know ^^.

All in all, this pic turned out very good for my standarts in art and I must say, that I was really surprised how good it turned out. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did when I made it. Have fun with it! ^^

Seven sphere's of time? hmm? My first odvious thought are chaos emeralds but knowing you I'd be inclined to think of the meaning as being deeper than that but I'll admit I'm stupped TT_TT
As for the overall details... a definite improvement over the sketch that I saw... well... of course it is but odvious effort has been put into it all. The cogs are all the same one over and over? Well that sorted out that dilema didn't it? A bit simple but hey.. it worked The clock looked wonderful, really, as does the hour glass with the sands of time flowing down. Really nice work Topaz

Thank you very much. Well, not really... In fact I did two cogs, but they almost look the same, that's why you can't really tell any difference

I'm very satisfied with the clock in the middle myself. Turned out to be a real eyecatcher. ^^ Also wonder if I should make myself one in this design (possible, thanks to mom's store ).

As for the seven spheres: This is something you can find here. In the past, people said, that everyone is changind all 7 years and since people have not gotten that old in the past, they also said that all people have 7 "stages" in life. Well, today it seems we got some more of these stages, but in the past it was not a very surprising thing if you died with an age of 55 or something like this. Yet I liked the idea, because it's true in a way:

You change with 7, because you start to go to school, you change with 14 because you are a teenager then, you change with 21, because you are finally an adult and so on.

Taleea In reply to Shadowgirlfan [2008-03-30 09:14:50 +0000 UTC]

I see Well, English is the world's language afterall, so it's not surprising. Personally I like to speak English, even if it's not my main language and as you can see, most of the people here can understand me.

Kooaqua In reply to Taleea [2008-03-31 18:10:40 +0000 UTC]

Isn't German pretty similar to English? But yeah my family speaks Spanglish since we well are a Mexican Family and that is all we speak here in West Coast States, and some speak plain spanish and english, but yeah. But we use the Mexican-rule spanish, not spaniard-rule since they hate us.

Taleea In reply to Kooaqua [2008-04-02 17:25:48 +0000 UTC]

Oh no, not at all. Of course there are a few words that are written the same, but the pronouncing and the grammars are completely different to English. In fact, German is a very difficult language to learn.

I like that the desert is getting attention, but i mean they buy houses here and leave them empty till next winter or so and it is causing the desert to shrink
