MENDERTale LORE Episode 1

Alright... it's finally time to give you all a bit more insight in some of the scientific (and historical) lore of MENDERTale as the story progresses. I will release these whenever we reach a certain point of the story, so nothing will end up as a spoiler or adds too much confusion... I hope.

Alphys you said Gen's soul is a Fusion-Soul because it has a fused trait. So if you don't mind me asking, what are some of the other types of fusion Souls you have encountered or theorized that exist?"

Here are just a few interesting basic details about the Soul Traits in Mendertale :

In general "fusion traits" (2nd generation traits) are much more common than the primary "pure" traits (1st generation, the 7 traits from Undertale).

Each and every Soul Trait contains a certain part of DETERMINATION, despite possibly not being their dominant trait. Therefore all traits contain a certain amount of DT.

Mages are human children with parents of both, the Monster- and the human-race, introducing magic into humans via marriage between the races. The child is born with human apparence and magic potential, if the amount of DT is still the dominant part in the unborn soul. If the magic is the dominant part, the child will be born a monster with greater tolerance for DT, known as a "Magister." or "Boss Monster".

Tracks of children born from such a bond between the races dissappeared after the war occurred between Monster and Humans. This is the reason why no known mages exist today anymore.

The 3rd and 4th generation of Soul Traits can contain mixes of different traits, but the souls are showing only one color like with the generations 1 and 2. Only Monster Souls can become partly colored when fused with a human soul.

Carrying souls ("Mother Soul") during pregnancy are marked with a border in the color of the "father". Yet this is not necessarily an indicator on the soul of the unborn child. Though, the child will inherit looks and abilities from their parents, yet the soul's appearance can differ a lot from them.
