Talk about precision, Doctor! You may call this a blow, alright.
Hitting in the absolute right spot to knock somebody out. Not that she hasn't been injured before all this and it sure helped to bring things to this result. Okay, he was panicking and I'll be honest, you simply don't think rational when you fall into panic. All that's left are instinct and reflexes, especially when you come to the conclusion that you actually don't want to die and are simply scared to death...
Also the spot he landed the hit on , the area around the liver to be precise, is a part of the human body even strong men with lots of muscles would easily be knocked out if you hit them there with enough force.
Guess it's fair to say, this is not how Gaster planed things to turn out... :/
