My first try to draw Shadow... in 2005
Hornest... I really was messing with him when I did the outlines, somehow. The scretch was a lot better... -_-
Anyway... I like the way the Earth and Maria turned out. And yeah, it's not only seems so, there actually two Marias!

How's that? Well...
At this time I was watching the first Sonic X-season and somehow it bugged me, the thing about Marias death.
Of course, she died during the GUN-Infiltration, we all know that, eh?!
Buuuttt... I didn't like the idea of Shadows suffering at all, so I decided making up a story on my own and I did, but sorry, it's german only until now. Maybe I'll translate it someday.

I wanted to make up a story that shows how Maria was able to survive afterall and the fact, that she didn't died in the first place. What if the bullet wasn't deathly? Maria was hit in the chest, but it came never totally clear WHERE she was hit, soooo... what if she was found, helped with her injury and then locked inside of a cyro-capsule like Shadow and would have awaken only a few years before Shadow was found by Dr. Eggman?

In my story, Maria, all grown up at this point, decided to find Shadow to bring his suffering to an end and get his whole memory back. But of course, her own psyche has been put to the test since that brutal attack of GUN. Since her grandfather and all of the others people on board the ARK gone, Shadow is the last thing that keep her from collapse. She also had developed a deep resentment for GUN and never want to be helpless again, so she starts training in combat and shooting.

That's why she wears that suit.
