Description
Quite a few people have asked me about this now. So here is a full tutorial/documentation on how to do it
This includes the following files;
Header CSS
Journal Entry
Preview
This is a .zip file now.
Be sure to remove the notes in [Square brackets] before putting any of it in your CSS or it will not work.
You do not have to credit me in your Journal CSS if you use this if you do not want to, but I'd appreciate it if you left a comment to let me know you used it and added it to your favourites if it was useful.
Please don't note me with questions about using this, please leave a comment on this deviation. That way, if someone else has a similar issue, I can try and avoid repeating myself.
In the preview, headers and scroll box's are shown.
This tutorial is for the HEADER ONLY.
If you're looking for the scrollbox tutorial that matches, please check in my gallery. You can find it here [link]

Have you got WinRAR? There shouldn't be an issue. If not, I highly recommend it. WinRAR and Winzip are free. If you can't open the zip file after then, then I can't do anything.

Try winrar instead then. It gives you 40 days but even after that theres "close" so you can still use it, too. =]

What did you mean by 'class of your journal'?
I can't seem to get it

It explains it..I think.
.header = a class
.wutever tend to be classes. :3

Yup. Bugs me more when people take my pre-made CSS and "edit" when I say edit, I mean butcher the crap out of them without my permission, even re-distribute and claim as their own. -_-

I have been trying to figure these headers out! Thanks so much! My current journal (with the cartoon person in it) was a challenge - I actually put those headers into the background so they'd be there.
Thanks so much!

Oooh, I'll be using this! Just one quick question- in the width of the scroll box, what do you mean by "fluid box"?
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
Talei In reply to KingGiantess [2008-06-14 11:58:53 +0000 UTC]
As in, the width adjusts to suit the width of the page. Like, if I have it set to 80% On the pain page, it'll be 80% of that width, then when you view it on the actual journal page, it'll be wider because its 80% of that, if that makes sense.

Confusing stuff though. I found most of it out through trial and error though. I used to skin for invisionfree [link] which is IPB 1.3 and started finding out about classes and stuff AND THAT OUR SPELLING COLOUR DOES NOT WORK =< with some guidance from other skinners on the way.

For me, I'm installing Dreamwaever in my PC, just make some designs, and open the HTML viewer to learn it.

Ooo. I used to have dreamweaver. I got it from school though, so when I got a new laptop, it means I lost it, so I don't have it anymore. Couldn't really use it anyways though. XD
