In Japan, it's some what like "far from the one he loves, purity, or chastity"
In Kanda's case, I think it's the first one since it has something to do with Alma.
And there's also a story about Lotus which grows in a muddy water but looks beautiful regardless, reaching for the sky. 'v'
So for me, in this piece, it meant Alma Karma.
