Description
So... whilst people are still working on the little dinoverse art contest (check out the link if you want to take part)www.deviantart.com/taliesaurus…
I thought i'd post a new sketch of a random scene involving members of the DINOVERSE gang.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this case... whilst resting for a bit on their journey to the standing stones, you have the group sitting together...
Having discussion about what they should do about their next move should be.
This largely involves asking Bertram Philips (the group's defacto leader) various bits of advice about:
- The local environment and geology: tricky terrain, weather etc.
- the local wildlife, from the large dinosaurs, small mammals and even tiny insects.
- what food is suitable for them to eat. (especially given Mike's reluctance to actually eat other dinosaurs, despite his body's protest)
- general stuff about their host's biology (whether it be simply stuff that's easy to answer, to much more.... awkward stuff)
In any case, whatever the point of the conversation started out as...
I can easily imagine that it typically ends up being one of Bertram's "lecture-mode" tangents.
where he can go on and on for a fair while, until somebody were to stop him.
However, whilst bitter members like Candayce Chambers find these tangents REALLY tiresome...
Mike Peterefsky and Janine Farehouse sometimes don't seem to mind it.
I mean... say what you will... but when you've been suddenly trapped in the body of a dinosaur/pterosaur...
You would probably find any details on your new body quite fascinating to listen to.
Particularly when it comes to actually adjusting to such a strange circumstance.
And Bertram of course couldn't be happier. His "lecture-mode" sometimes helps him
to calm down and not panic about the possibility of not getting back home.
And how their collective chances of getting home weigh VERY heavily as a responsibility on his shoulders.
And without mentioning how (as Candayce sometimes cruel reminds him) this whole situation is (kinda) his fault.
Even though strictly speaking it was a complete accident that he'd have no way of knowing what would happen.
In any case, this is the best that his paleo-facts have been received, and he is happy to answer any question.
He found it very funny when the others were surprised by Hell creek being more chilly than they were expecting.
And the positive confidence boosts when he describes how highly regarded Mike and Janine's hosts are.
And It's always satisfying to answer a question about some strange animal they encounter that is not strictly known by the public.
But...
Even he will admit there are SOME subjects that he dreads having to explain...
One of which would be going into the details of what a CLOACA is and...how it works.
For those who don't know what that is, let's just put it in this term.
"it's a single multi-purpose posterior orifice that serves as the only opening for the digestive, reproductive, and urinary tracts of many vertebrate animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, monotremes and yes... even dinosaurs, pterosaurs and birds."
Or more simply, think of it like this:
"number 1 and number 2 come out of the same place"
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hope you lot like it. write down your thoughts in the comments below.
Particularly: what kind of questions do you think the group might ask Bertram?
and how might he try to answer them in the best way possible?
Think of the situation they are in and what folks might want to know or be curious about.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: If you are not familar with dinoverse:
The main premise is centred around teenagers who through some strange science-ish accident have their minds/souls taken out of their respective bodies transported millions of years into the mesozoic, and then placed into random pre-existing dinosaurs (think of it as like a strange form of possession rather than full on transformation)
you can find artwork on my channel in this folder

But you can also find some dinoverse artwork on Green-Mamba 's folder right here

they are actually what got me into doing dinoverse artwork.
