"Hello, and welcome to JURASSIC REPORT
Where we bring you all the latest news from the world of jurassic.

I'm your host, Taliesin the Pyroraptor.
and I'm reporting to you live from the studio.
after having gone through a HUGE 1.5 or 2 year long hiatus

Where, just like plenty, i’m waiting in bated breath for the eventual release of the next chapter/intallment in the jurassic saga.
Basically, since i last did one of these things, there was the whole thing with the pandemic shutting down many businesses, pubs, schools etc
Not to mention the social distancing protocals, not even the film industry was spared and as such many fims that were orignally slated to come out in 2021 ended up getting delayed as their production was temoporaily halted. Jurassic World was no excception, needless to say, many of us were disappointed but understood that it was for the best.

So eventually news from our studio sorta grounded to stop.
the workers and camera crew, much like that of JW: dominion, went home and just endured this time, waiting for things to eventually sort themselves out.
Tie passed, weeks turned into months and many of us just continued waiting.

But despite the situation, as Ian Malcom himselfwould say "Life found a way".
And now, not only has an effective vaccine been made (which i myself have taken both does of) but stuff have been adapting and eventually began to reopen.
So now there is an end to the pamdemic in sight and things are begining to return to a type of "normalcy" and even better, we have plenty of things to look foreward to.

And so now it's time to talk to you lot about these things...
All of which came about just eariler this month.

FIRST BIT OF NEWS:
The video game sequel to the 2018 park builder game "Jurassic world evolution" has just arrived.
This new game, titled "Jurassic world evolution 2" is qutie appealing for not only having all of the improvements that the orginal game had...

But also for having many, MANY major adjustments and improvements to the overall gameplay.
For starters, you no longer have to freight about herbivore feeders, because now, the herbivores can ACTUALLY EAT THE LOCAL FLORA and graze.
on top of that, MUCH more dymanic behaviors have been impilemented.

Now dinosaurs can:
-estabish terrtory.
-rest without sleeping
-have dominance displays and social interactions
-hunt prey more realistically (as in the prey doesn't just stand around anymore, they more actively try to get away)
-have the possiblity for some failed hunts, because of stamina.
-gain experience from fighting (meaning battlew arenas are more unpredicable and YES a herbivore can win)
-partake in PACK HUNTING
-cause sevevre injuries that need medical attention.

and then there are the other things like:
-aviaries containing pterosaurs capable of flying around your parks instead of just disappearing off into nowhere.
-lagoons containg a fair varity of aquatic reptiles
-wild dinosaurs roaming about the wildneness.
-scientists which help you with your task but if overworked may also sabotage your parks
-decorations, rocks and differeing types of vegatation.
-and so many other aspecvts that it would take all day to talk about.

overall it's qutie a good game to play and though there are a few little bugs, we can be sure that forntier will likely get round to fixing those.

SECOND BIT OF NEWS:
It should be said that whilst this whole pandemic thing caused most of us a bit of strife and difficulties, the director of jw: dominion and his team managed to do their best to adapt and keep working on what they had sorted out before the lockdown came into place.

Then after a few long weeks, they brought themselves together and figured out a new strategy and were able to resume filming with new safety guidelines added such as: 
-hand sanitisers
-social distancing while not on set
-regular checkups and covid tests.
-not to mention face masks for everyone who was not part of the set.

Anyway, as filming slowly progressed (with the effects department having a huge benefit of extra time to iron out of the CGI) we, the jurassic fans continued to wait with bated breath, anticipating any bit of news that came our way…then filming concluded sometime around last winter, giving the film crew time to work on putting the footage and effects together. To say the least, waiting a whole other year, many of us were starved for jurassic content. But thankfully, the tv show camp cretaceous helped to hold us over (more on that in a bit)

and now, long story short….Colin and his crew just recently announced that THEY HAVE RECENTLY FINISHED POST PRODUCTION.
essentially they have finished putting the film together, finished the effects, finished the sound design, and as colin himself put it on instagram:
putting “the last bit of reverb on the very last roar.”

yes indeed, everything is starting to fall into place, now all that is left is to properly start the main marketing campaign.
But before we embark on the station to the hype train, there is still one last thing we need to cover…

LAST BIT OF NEWS (with special interview ):
...and this is perhaps the most notable bit of Jurassic news for this post.
Now i previously mentioned that during the extended wait time we had for dominion, we were rather starved for jurassic content.
However, during september of last year, we finally got introduced to the first proper jurassic park/world animated series, CAMP CRETACEOUS.

Now many of you who freqent my "channel might know about what my opinions are on camp cretaceous so far from my three season reviews i made.
all of which you can find here of course....

But now that season 4's trailer has been out for a little while and and it's got hints of strange and exciting things to look foreward to this season....
I've decided i'm gonna need a little bit of help. So joining me in the studio tonight is one of the dinosaur characters showcased in that trailer.

And not just any character....but actually a very specfic part of jurassic park history, a giant theropod who played a prominent role in the third film of the series.
Please, ladies and gentleman, put your hands together for LONG AWAITED RETURN OF THE GRAND THE SAIL-BACKED APEX OF ISLA SORNA!

THE INGEN SPINOSAURUS FROM JURASSIC PARK 3.

*the audience erupts into grand aplanse as a HUGE THEROPOD pushes through large door on the far left,

before then turnning around to face Talie, whose feathers as ruffled from the roar having echoed around the room.
After getting his bearing back, talie brushes down his feathers and signs for a plate of sturgeon fish to be brought up for their guest.*

Talie- "So with all that out of the way, I must say i am happy to welcome you to the show, such an honour to have such literally HUGE star come into our studio
and may I say, you look even more amazing in person. Should i call you anything or is "spinosaurus" good enough?"

Spinosaurus- "You can if you want. My actualy name is a bit hard to prenouce in the english tonuge so most people just call my "Spiny Jim"."

Talie- "Even better then. You enjoying those fish?"

Spinosaurus (*eating some sturgeon*)- "Yeah, catering has been just top notch around here, really like the salmon buffet in the other room, I only wish there could have been some onchopristis, those giant sawfish are considered qutie a delicacy where i'm from."

Talie- "I'm sorry, the market for onchopristis is a little limited round these parts, hopefully freashly caught sturgoen makes up for it. Some of them even have some caviar."

Spinosaurus- "It's ok, I'm not really fussed either way. Like many of my kind I just have a real fondness for fish. anyway... what would you like to talk about?"

Talie- "well I first like to talk about jurassic park 3 and what was it like working on that film."

Spinosaurus- "well some of you audience might know that orginally my role as prominent theropod antagonist was orginally scripted to go to a baryonyx, but when the crew and the director (Joe Johnston) saw me they instead requested that i join the crew instead. Apprantly i just fit their vision of a new big theropod to attention to. After that, many of you lot might know about how troubled our production was... even to the point that a whole new script was put together just shortly before fiming was to begin. Honestly it was qutie a micracle that we were able to pull it off as well as we did."

Talie- "Indeed, anyway, of course we all know that after that film, the franchise went into a bit of long 14 year coma of devlopment hell. Whether it was due to the troubled production or the slightly controversial t-rex vs spino fight, it's hard to truely say. But that aside, I'm also curious as to what you did during the time between then and now."

Spinosaurus- "Oh not too much to take note of, after all jurassic park 3 was kinda my debut. But i played a few roles here and there, helped out my cousin with the "planet dinosaur" documentry, went on several fishing contests and fishing tv shows, in fact some amoung the audience might know my work on 'river monsters' especially the episode involve the collossol catfish. Was i ever offered a chance to come back to the jurassic series? Sure, but as it is with many people, life and circumstances got in the way. Bayona and Trerrorow did at one point suggest a role i could in jurassic world fallen kingdom, but i turned it down as i couldn't make good time at that point. All in all, things had been pretty good. But i still remeber my role in jurassic park 3."

Talie- "So what eventually made you decide to come back?"

Spinosaurus- "I guess after a few more films and helping out with a few partiulcar events, the pandemic hit and I found myself in a bit of a major state of boredom. I mean i was decently well finacially but fishing at my local lake didn't seem to be much in the way of excitment and it was still a LONG while before i felt like retiring. Then I found out about the tv show camp cretaceous, and after watching the first season, I guess like many I grew to really love it. After the first season came and went, i decided to call my old freinds at amblin studios to see how things were doing, and wouldn't you know it, they were just about to ask if i would like a part in the show. I honestly couldn't beleive it. Long story short, by the time that the second season came out, I was called to the studio, met up with colin and the dreamworks team and well.... the rest is history."

Talie- "indeed, so without giving any spoliers, what would you say it was like working on the new season, I mean it's a very different setting from when we last saw your character on screen."

Spinosaurus (chuckles)- "Ain't that the truth. I'll say that when filming in the chile desert as a background for this story, I was close to overheat on one or two ocassionas, luckily, the film crew always provides plenty and water and snacks for the saurian actors working on set. Marcy the kentrosaurus faired a lot better in that regard and would sometimes make jokes about humans old theroies about my sail or her plates. I guess the REAL tricky part though, was getting back into the type of character i played from jurassic park 3, but aged up about 15 years.

Roberta had it easy in the practise department, after all, it's very hard to beat that roar she has."

Talie- "Certainly, though you do have a decently iconic roar yourself"

Spinosaurus- "why Thank you very much"

Talie- "just a question from the audience, what was it like working alongside a sabre toothd cat, the first one to appear in the jurassic park saga?"

Spinosaurus- "Oooh... good question. The smilodon who played that cat is a pretty chamring feller to work with, great sense of humour. You might know him as deigo from the ICE AGE movies."

Talie- "Wait... REALLY?!"

Spinosaurus- "Yeah, apprantly after the ice age films came to an end and after we done with his minor role the "buck wild" series, and after blue sky studios caved in, he needed to find a new bit of media to relauch his career. So i approched him and told him how camp cretaceous were currently doing auditions for non-dinosaur prehistoric animals and well... he lept at the chance, so to speak. He took to his new character like a natural and impressed the producers so much he was selected for the role. To say the least it was new terrory for a lot of us, particually the filmmakers involving prehistoric non-dinosaur whose orgins stem from outside the mesozoic.

obivously he was given some makeup and such to make him look different but rest assured, you'll find his performance qutie enjoyable."

Talie- "right... good to know. Now, given that the setting of season 4 seems to be an entirely different island, unseen in the jurassic saga before, what would you say we have in store?"

Spinosaurus- "well as the show's creator, Scott Kreamer stated, it's NOT isla sorna or ANY of the five deaths. The main reason for this is that we wanted to expand the world of jurassic beyond the areas that we are familar with and introduce the point that it's not just ingen (or even biosyn) that is getting their hands involved with genetic power. Moreover, this company is in some ways rather like this world's equilvent to boston dynamics, hence the presense the of the robots you lot saw in the trailer.

The OTHER main reason is because, we wanted to put the audience in kind of the viewpoint of the campers, trying to work out what exactly is going on.
Whereas before the audeince being very familar with isla nublar and the island's fate, the roducers wanted to essnetially have the audience figure out what is going on with Mantah corp and this strange facily at roughly the same rate that the campers do. It's kinda like what darius said, involing the scorpius rex.

'they've mostly survived this long because they knew the island well enough and knew how the dinosaurs were supossed to behave. Now in this new place, all bets on that are off.
Beyond that, I'm of course not at libaty to talk about what happens in the story. You know how it is."

Talie- "certainly, non-discloure argeements and non-spoiler polices are indeed something many of us have to honour in this sort of industry.
Anything else you want to say towards the audience before we finish up?"
